Who has access to this service?

If you have access to Vivo through your insurance, you can use this service if you’ve started to make a claim, or already have an accepted claim, related to your cancer diagnosis. This applies to claims for Income Protection, Total and Permanent Disability or Critical Illness insurance covers.

Duration

The program runs for 6-12 weeks, although this is entirely flexible depending on your needs. At the end of the Cancer Coach Program, you may choose to add further return-to-work focused modules (where appropriate).

The Cancer Coach Program suits those who’ve received a cancer diagnosis and are looking to take control of their care and improve health outcomes.

What to expect

Designed by cancer specialists, the Cancer Coach Program has education, support and behaviour change components that assist you to take control of your cancer care and achieve better outcomes.

At Vivo we know that cancer touches everyone, and so should cancer care.

We’ve partnered with Osara Health (formerly CancerAid) to provide access to the Cancer Coach Program. Osara Health empowers individuals living with cancer through empathy and technology.

‍

Take back control through:

  • one-on-one sessions with a dedicated health coach
  • purposeful and manageable goal setting for cancer care management such as symptom tracking, sleep, diet, etc
  • general wellbeing advice on mindfulness, exercise, etc
  • resources to help you make positive behaviour change
  • access to the program app to track your symptoms and join a community where you can learn from others’ experiences, and
  • further support on employment planning and resetting your relationship with work (if applicable).

Vivo services are available at no additional cost to those insured by MLC Life Insurance. You may also have Vivo available to you if your employer/super fund has a partnership with us*.
